• Greet employees and guests in a godly, positive manner as they arrive at the SLDC.
• Direct visitors and other appointments to the correct people.
• Notify the appropriate department when an outside guest arrives on the property.
• Oversee and document property activities in the form of a daily activity log.
• Maintain reports of property access activities of bookstore guests, business guests, contractors and deliveries.
• Also produce reports that include security breaches, safety hazards and traffic on the property.
• Maintain a positive and secure work environment by ensuring there are no personal or safety threats against the staff, visitors or property at the SLDC.
• Monitor and immediately respond to all types of alarms.
• Respond to any incident that may occur that may cause a threat or harm to anyone at the SLDC.
• Conduct patrols, complete investigations, provide crowd management, prevent loss, and maintain files and reports as needed. Perform other duties in the nature of security patrols as designated.
• Ensure consistency in departmental procedures by participating in department training as required.
• Assist in maintaining a consistent department work flow by working 12-hour shifts and working overtime as mandated by the manager. Available to work rotating shifts if needed.

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-2 years technical field experience
• Previous expereince in law enforcement, military or security
• Ability to safely and effectively operate a Taser.
