Testimonies


I’m an occupational therapist who works in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Recently, I had an 80-year-old patient who was suffering from depression and anxiety. After many weeks of traditional therapy, nothing seemed to be changing for her. I knew my patient was a Christian and loved the Lord, but had stopped reading the Bible because of her diminishing eyesight. So I decided to loan her some of my Joyce Meyer CDs. At the end of the week, I saw my patient walking down the hall with a big smile on her face. She gave me a hug and said, “Thank you so much for those CDs—what a blessing they were! I’d given up on life, but now the Lord has lifted my spirit, given me insight and I feel so much better.” My patient has listened to all my Joyce Meyer CDs and she, along with many other residents, faithfully watches (listens to) the TV program every morning. My mother was diagnosed with melanoma that claimed her life, but God gave me a miraculous opportunity to speak for Him in her last hours. While caring for her at her home during her last week, I once again tried to tell her of God’s love and plan of salvation through Jesus, but it seemed she still did not want to receive the truth. On her last day, she became restless and would moan and try to speak anytime I was in the room with her. I began to pray quietly to hear from God how I could comfort her, and He spoke clearly saying, “She is afraid because she is not my own.” She wanted me to lead her to Jesus! I had Joyce’s book, The Secret Power of Speaking God’s Word in my purse. I knelt at her bedside and with a boldness and strength that comes only from God, I read His word out loud on fear, forgiveness, grace and the saving power of the blood of Jesus. She opened her eyes and stopped moaning, her countenance changed, her face relaxed as she received Jesus as her Savior. As she drew her last breath, I stood at the end of her bed with my arms raised in praise for what God had just done. He is never late and He is not willing that any should perish! I am thankful that God put everything in place and that He equipped me to be used by Him, for His glory! And for Joyce’s book, which had all the scriptures that I needed in that moment. Kim T. My heart knows that you and Dave really do care about your partners and take care of my money, so excitement filled my heart to be able to make a commitment to your ministry! At the same time I became a partner, I was fighting with my health insurance to pay a large medical bill. Your television program during partner week was God speaking to me to obey Him—even through my frustrations of this bill—not so I could get my bills paid, but to show Him that I love Him and His people. Just one month after becoming a partner, God paid my medical bills and showed me He really is my provider! I got a letter in the mail saying that I am no longer responsible for the bill! And to top it off, I got a check for $25 as a refund from the provider that I was making payments to. I remember you saying that when we sow, we reap a harvest. Those words stuck in my head.
